Lou Vecchioni |
The original owner, Ira E. Hefner of Norfolk, VA purchased the car from Bruce Flournoy Motor Corp, on Feb 9, 1966, just 5 days after the car was built at the Norfolk plant. Lou purchased the car on Aug 10, 2005, from Rick Mintzell of Hampstead, MD. He purchased it from Doc's Classic Auto, Milford, MA on 4/7/2005. Doc's acquired it from Irish Classics, Norfolk,VA, approx Feb 2005.There are no records prior to these. Also there is a relatively new Harbin Ford emblem (Scottsboro, AL) on the trunk lid. I understand this car was at that Ford dealership on display in the showroom, but cannot confirm. Within the past 10-20 years the car received a decent cosmetic restoration: body/paint, engine, trunk and undercarriage detailing including various paint marks to mimic original factory markings. Interior appears original, although I have recently replaced the carpet. Car has about 131,000. |

THERE IS NO RUST ON THE CAR, and it was a California car. The plates are the original Black Plates for the car. ( I have registration certificates that go back into the early 1980's on the car). The motor is the original motor, as well as the transmission. There are numerous parts that still have the correct parts # still stamped on them. The factory A/C still blows out cold. The car has Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Power Windows, and the disc brakes are the 4 piston Kelsey & Hayes calipers. Non original wheels on car, but has them. This car was originally Medium Sage Gold Metallic with light ivy gold "Crinkle" vinyl and medium ivy gold "Rosette" pattern, interior. |
